At Ballet San Antonio, we believe that the transformative power of dance should be accessible to all. Our outreach programs are designed to inspire, educate, and bring the joy of ballet to children and families throughout our community.

These programs are designed in collaboration with educators, community partners, and families to foster creativity, confidence, and connection through dance.

Our Programs

Learning That
Moves You

This initiative offers free, immersive ballet classes to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity. In partnership with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, Haven for Hope, and Girls Inc., we bring dance directly to community spaces. In 2024, we expanded to include Summer Camps, reaching even more young dreamers.

Send the Kids
to the Ballet

We provide free performance tickets and transportation to our full-length productions at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to children facing personal, economic, or geographic challenges. Collaborating with groups such as Haven for Hope and Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, we aim to make the magic of ballet accessible to all.

The Nutcracker

Each year, Ballet San Antonio offers free online access to our professionally filmed 2022 production of The Nutcracker, featuring the classic BSA Nutcracker choreographed by local artists Haley and Easton Smith. Our goal is simple: we want every child in the state to have the chance to experience the magic of The Nutcracker, no matter where they live.
